• Profile Information (Artisans): Trade category, location, city, address, and bio.
• Verification Documents (Artisans): Images of valid ID cards, workshop photos, selfies, address proofs, and trade certificates.
• Profile Photos: Profile pictures uploaded by users.
• Financial Data: Wallet transaction history and credit purchase records (processed securely via Paystack; we do not store your card details).
• Communication Data: Reviews, ratings, and feedback left on the platform.

Data Collected Automatically:

• Device & Log Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and access times.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and click patterns to help us improve the Platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create, maintain, and secure your account.
• Facilitate connections between Clients and Artisans.
• Verify the identity and credentials of Artisans to ensure safety.
• Process payments and manage credit balances.
• Display your profile in search results (based on your visibility settings).
• Send service-related notifications (e.g., payment confirmations, credit deductions).
• Respond to your requests, questions, and provide customer support.
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

Sharing Within the Platform:

• Artisan to Client: When a Client pays the Connection Fee, the Artisan will see the Client's Full Name and Phone Number so they can provide the requested service.
• Client to Artisan: When a Client unlocks an Artisan, the Client will see the Artisan's Full Name, Phone Number, Category, Location, and Profile Photo.

Third-Party Sharing:

• Payment Processors: We share transaction data with Paystack to process your payments securely. We do not store your card details on our servers.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental regulation.
• Protection of Rights: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Real Estate Artisan, our users, or the public.

What We NEVER Do:

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not share your password with anyone.

4. Data Security

• We implement industry-standard security measures (including encrypted password hashing) to protect your personal information.
• Payments are processed entirely through Paystack’s PCI-compliant infrastructure. Your card details never touch our servers.
• Despite our best efforts, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

• We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
• Transaction Records: Financial and connection logs are retained for a minimum of 6 months for legal and accounting purposes, even if your account is deleted.
• Verification Documents: Artisan ID and certificate images are retained as long as the artisan profile is active, or until a deletion request is successfully processed.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can view and update most of your personal information directly from your Dashboard settings.
• Correction: You can correct inaccurate information by editing your profile.
• Deletion: You can request the deletion of your account. Please note that certain data (like anonymous transaction records) may be retained for legal compliance. To request deletion, contact us at support@realestateartisan.com.ng.

7. Cookies & Tracking

• We use essential "Session Cookies" to keep you logged in and ensure the platform functions properly. The platform cannot work without them.
• We may use analytics tools to understand how users interact with our platform so we can improve the experience.
• You can configure your browser to block cookies, but doing so may prevent you from logging in or using certain features.

8. Children's Privacy

• Our platform is not intended for children under 18 years of age. You must be at least 18 to register and use our services.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information immediately.
